Inchworm Design — Est. 2009
I help small businesses and nonprofits build brands, websites, and AI-powered tools that make them look and operate like organizations twice their size.
What I actually do
I've been doing design work for 26 years. What that looks like has changed.
It started with decorative painting — high-end interiors, museum commissions, hand-painted wallcoverings for designers published in Architectural Digest and Veranda. Then it became 14 years of brand and communications consulting for nonprofits.
In the last two years, I added AI to the mix. Not theoretically — as working software. A student intake system. A college database tool. Cohort tracking. Operational infrastructure built from scratch while learning to code for the first time.
What that gives me now is something most designers don't have: I can look at a brand problem and build something around it. A site. A tool. An automated workflow. Something that works after I leave.
I work with a small number of clients at a time. If your business or organization needs to look sharper, communicate more clearly, or build something that didn't exist before — that's the work I do.
You need to look like you've been at this for a decade. Clean brand, sharp website, tools that make the operation run without adding headcount.
Your mission deserves design that matches it. Grant narratives, annual reports, intake systems, donor communications — built to last and easy for your team to maintain.
AI is not magic. It is a tool. I figure out where it actually applies to your operation, build the right thing, and hand it over working.
What you can hire me for
Logo, color, typography, and the full visual language your organization needs to look consistent and credible — across your website, documents, social presence, and anything you hand someone in a room.
A clean, functional site built around how your audience actually uses it. Not a template that fights you — a site designed for your specific content, your specific goals, and built to be easy for you to maintain.
A custom-built tool for your business or organization. A client intake system. An AI-powered database. An automated workflow that replaces something your team does by hand. Scoped, built, and handed over working.
Not sure which applies to your situation? Send a message and we'll figure it out together.
Who is behind this
I've been doing design work since 2000.
Twenty-one years across decorative arts, nonprofit communications, brand strategy, and now AI tool development. My work has been published in Architectural Digest and Veranda. I spent 14 years as a communications and design consultant for nonprofits. In the last two years I built real software with AI — a student intake system, a college database, a cohort tracking platform — while learning to code for the first time.

I am also Co-Founder and Director of Creative Technology at Crown Roots Foundation, where I use the same tools I build for clients to run programs for Pocono youth. Our flagship initiative, The Crown Hub, connects students to academics, athletics, and real college opportunity.
I work from Tannersville, Pennsylvania. I work remotely. I take on a small number of clients at a time because the work deserves it.
